The example uses warm yellow marks and blue lines, with the background partially visible through its open areas. Printed and unprinted areas transmit light differently, changing the image against each background. This makes the design especially sensitive to where it is displayed: a window, a wall, and a colored backing each produce a different effect. It is useful inspiration for gallery graphics and exhibition posters designed to respond to their surroundings.
