A CLOSER LOOK
Paper with a purpose.
The visual story begins with a single white Chinese set menu with black lettering and a visibly hand-torn edge against a dark background. The piece pairs deckle-edge paper with letterpress. What stands out is that the irregular perimeter is the primary visual feature, with spare typography preserving the material's handmade character. Its details are meant to be noticed as the piece is handled, opened, displayed or set on a table. For another project, artwork, quantity and finishing would be specified for the intended use.
