A CLOSER LOOK
Paper with a purpose.
A dramatic exhibition poster combines a bright image with translucent material, so the colors shift as the sheet is held away from its backing. The set includes two overlapping prints against a dark background; their edges and color fields make the vellum effect easy to notice. The translucent sheet makes the backing color part of the finished view. For this visual case, the key idea is that a poster can have more than one reading: luminous in the hand and more saturated against a solid wall. It suits experimental art and design events.
